This jacket is a necessity for my gear closet! Keeping me dry and comfortable on the bike and long hikes. The updated fit and material both seem to be great improvements upon an already excellent jacket. Even as light and packable as the Scout is, I still feel confident going into really wet days in the mountains.
This jacket is superb for several reasons. When you're in need of something to keep you dry on a mountain trail run or bike ride, this is the perfect choice. It's super lightweight, comfortable, and breathable. It's been keeping me dry all summer long during my adventures in the mountains and activities around town. The material may seem thin compared to an ultra thick rain jacket, but I prefer having something that is easier to pack away into a tiny ball when I'm carrying a lot of other gear in my pack. The armpit vents are awesome. And the chest pocket is great for snacks. And the hood fits comfortably overhead. Count on this jacket to have on any adventure!
Got this ahead of a running race overseas. I wanted the mandatory gear, a waterproof jacket, to be as light as possible. After getting it and seeing how small it packs up, I have brought it with me everywhere. It stays in my pack even if I don't think there will be weather. It's so light and doesn't have that waterproof-y feeling against your skin, so it's replaced my patagonia houdini as the jacket to leave around. Why wouldn't you bring this thing? Haven't tested it yet but hoping this will be my spring mission ski shell too.
This is a must have for any and all adventures, all the time. I do not leave without, even when skies are cloudless. And why not when it doesn't way anything? Keeps me dry it is the most insane conditions. Can always count on looking the coolest is the group, too *cool sunglasses emoji*
