Excellent…love the jacket, pockets are all in the right places and very confortable.
Bought it late spring. Haven’t been able to field test yet. It fits great and is well designed and made. Ski season can’t come soon enough!
I love my new Strafe gear. Very light weight, Tons of vents- I run very hot!, and durable. I took some tree branches to the back that left scratches on me and did not damage my jacket at all!!
Thanks for the review, John! Look out for those tree branches :)
To be clear: The majority of my Strafe outwear i have acquired due to my position in a shop selling their gear. They would offer employee perks such as sell x amount of an item, receive a certain dollar price item. This being said i would never push a customer to spend the amount of money on any of their gear again. I own a nomad bib, and jacket, and also a pyramid. The nomad lasted about 2 seasons, fantastic waterproofing, jacket design ect. Where the problem develops on my side of the business, is within 2 years of purchase for an average rider on a 599$ retail jacket is that zippers shouldn't be an issue, and if they become one: the company designing the jacket should at least take the some of the necessary steps to ensure that such an expensive piece of equipment adequately represents their brand throughout its maturity. My pyramid jacket did not fare as well. Within one season of testing, i lost any zipper usability out of the right hand pocket, tearing at gaiters, tearing at phone holding pocket, failure of the main zipper to operate. All of these concerns have been brought to strafe with no interest on their side in fixing anything. That being said, i highly recommend going through Fly Low, or Airblaster for high waterproofing pieces; this would be due to their customer service department's diligence on getting things taken care of when high price items like this catastrophically fail. Strafe was once my most highly respected brand in our shop, my entire family and close friend base are outfitted in them. Going forward i wouldn't even recommend a simple base layer to the average consumer.
I love my Nomad kit (bibs & jacket). Had a zipper issue & Strafe customer service took great care of me. This is my 2nd full strafe kit and I love the innovation - pockets inside pockets for example!
